Richard J. Brown
Richard Jess Brown, Jr., string bassist, earned his MM in Performance from DePaul University and his BME from the University of Memphis. He was a full time member of the Memphis Symphony at the age of 19. His 21 year teaching experience includes teaching in New Orleans and Chicago. He supervises an educational internet radio station and has performed internationally. He has recorded with Grammy winner, Cassandra Wilson and others.

Wesley Cole
Began his musical training in the MSO-JPS Strings program. Holds a Bachelor’s degree from University of Southern Mississippi. Played in Tallahassee Symphony Orchestra, Meridian Symphony Orchestra. Awarded a full scholarship to Brevard Music Festival, NC.

Ivan del Prado
Ivan del Prado has also excelled in the field of education. Currently he is the Artistic Director of the Premier Orchestral Institute in Jackson, MS. Previously, he offered a course of Musical Interpretation in the National Conservatory of Lima, Peru and organized and led the First Workshop for Young Conductors in Latin America and the Caribbean held in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, in 2000. In addition he was a founder of the national movement of youth orchestras in Cuba in 1993.

Ausra Jasineviciute
Native of Lithuania, Master’s degree in Social Sciences from Vilnius Pedagogical University and a Doctorate in Music Performance from Florida State University. Principal viola of the MSO

Hristo Hristov
Born in Bulgaria, assistant-principal viola of MSO. Master’s degree of music in viola performance from Southeastern Louisiana University. Member and assistant principal viola with the Missouri Symphony Society Orchestra for Summer Nights Festival-Columbia, MO.

Tammy Luke
Master’s degree in viola performance with an emphasis on Suzuki violin from Northern Arizona State University. Conductor of the Mississippi Youth Symphony Cadet/Strings I and II Orchestra since 1993. certified Suzuki violin instructor

Milena Rusanova
Native of Bulgaria Master's Degree in Violin Performance from Southeastern Louisiana University. Finalist of the National Violin Competition “ Dobrin Petkov.” National Finalist of the MTNA Young Artist String Competition in Canada,Toronto. Winner of the Monroe Young Concerto Competition.
